Deep In The Stillness I Can Hear You Speak...

Jim - After party hoping for a few days, I'm back home and settled... I'm going to start construction on Chelsea Logue's street team website today (I hope) and start some more promoting for her... My mom just offered to help me get a new guitar... the discussion went something like this:
"Can we go to the Music store tom.?"
"Are you gonna get a new guitar?"
"No... I just want to look around"
"Well... you have some money maybe you can get one."
"Yeah... I have one in mind... about $300"
"We'll get one for about $1,200"
"Whoa... that's not really necessary"

On a unrelated note, I got this today:

Dear Joseph,
I would like to inform you of your nomination as Poet of the Year for 2004, and to personally invite you to read your poetry at the single largest gathering of poets in history, where you will be formally inducted as an International Poet of Merit and Honored Member of our Society for 2004.
Your induction will take place Friday evening, August 13th, in America's Birthplace, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during the International Society of Poets' Summer 2004 Convention and Symposium.
You will also be honored with two separate and very special awards for your poetic achievement at special ceremonies throughout the weekend.
First, to honor and commemorate your poetic accomplishments, after you present your poetry in front of fellow poets from around the world, amidst the applause from the audience, you will be presented with your Outstanding Achievement in Poetry Silver Award Bowl. The Award is a magnificent work of art in itself ($200.00 value), uniquely engraved and mounted on a cherry-wood base. This incomparable award is so large and heavy, you may need an extra suitcase just to carry it home!
And Joseph . . . there's much more . . .
In recognition of your poetry presentation at this prestigious International Symposium, we will also create and present to you a beautiful and colorful Commemorative Award Medallion to honor your poetic dedication and achievements.
36 POETS WILL SHARE $74,000.00 TOTAL IN PRIZES--INCLUDING
THE SINGLE LARGEST POETRY CASH PRIZE EVER AWARDED--$20,000.00!

And don't forget the most lucrative amateur poetry contest ever! Your contest entry poem can be written in any style, on any subject . . . and can be up to 40 lines long.
Just think . . . for this poem alone, you will have the opportunity to win one of 36 cash and gift prizes to be awarded at the Symposium . . including a Grand Prize of $20,000.00--the largest cash prize ever awarded in an amateur poetry competition. There's also a Second Prize of $5,000.00, two Third Prizes of all-expenses paid vacations for two, including a Caribbean cruise and a trip to Cancun, Mexico, a Fourth Prize of $1,000.00, and six other cash prizes of $500.00 each. World-renowned Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, W.D.Snodgrass, Academy of American Poets Past Chancellor, David Wagoner, and television star, Florence Henderson, will be with us to congratulate poets and present the Grand Prize.
Your society is also encouraging today's youth to develop and utilize their poetic talents in a positive manner. This year we will award five $1,000.00 cash scholarships to talented young poets attending the Symposium.
Our editors and professors will also be searching for new poetic talent. Twenty poets will be "discovered" in the contest reading sessions. These winners will be awarded publishing or recording contracts that will generate international exposure for their poetic artistry.
In all, $74,000.00 in cash and prizes will be awarded at this single event!

So I gotta get to work... Wish me luck!
I really need to talk to Paige about this one... If there's anyone who can offer me invaluable help, it's her. She could probably help me, also, by joining my blog... of someone else who would like to...* !!HINT HINT!!*
Anyway... I'm out

What You Create Comes From Deep Inside Of You... (100th post!)

Jim - WHOO... WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO: Jim's 100th post!!!...
Ahh yes... I can remember the first post... in the journal entitled "...I Love You Even Though It Isn't Fair..." on Sunday, October 12th, 3:20 pm I wrote -

And We Waltz...

This is my Journal.... ummm nothing special to say because this isn't really a post even though it is.... Just messing around.... The good stuff is to come

~Jim/Joey

I don't remember what exactly motivated me to make a journal but I did... and we're here not... I don't think any really good stuff has ever come, but I'm on a constant quest to make this journal more interesting - whether by looks, music, and yes, even my life... I know... "Your life isn't very interesting, Jim"... but that's okay because I think I have a pretty good life and really, I wouldn't trade anyone for theirs... I don't think... though I lack in social status, I still have those people who I know will stick with me unless I turn into a perverted freak: killing relentlessly with no conscience to slow me down... I don't know.. some might still stick with me... try to get me into a shelter somewhere (thanks guys!!: CB, PH, CB, NP, NC). Your support is ever appreciated... Although I don't think they know me that well, they have been the closest things to best friends for 3 years. There are others like Zack L. and Jona T. who have always been my friend whether we had classes together or not - always giving a "Hey, Joey" or talking to me online, on the phone (those EXTREMELY rare times people actually call me), or just inviting me to do something with them (even though I don't think I never get to do it... Usually...)

To celebrate my 100th entry, I have only good news (besides SUMMER SUCKS!!)... I've been talking to Mrs. Paula - sister of one of our patents - and it just so happens that she's the mother of the drummer of the Swingin' Medallions (the 2nd generation of the first all white rhythm and blues band who's roots reach back to Augusta). I gave her a CD of Chelsea Logue and she's gonna give it to the band's manager in Atlanta to see what he can do with it... hopefully that will spring something anew (once again, Chelsea is further in my dept for the help I give her... lol... jk - btw, I gotta get her street team together). Anyway, she's gonna talk to her son about getting a recording contract for me. WHOOO!!... once again, Paige, things seem to fall right into my hands... I told her I would never do it without my friends (at least not without Nicholai) who have helped me in my music. I hope I get to do someting with that.

My friend, who moved to SC 3 years ago, showed up at my house with his brand new Saturn... it's beautiful... Anyway - I might be going back to SC with him in a few weeks to spend some time away from home... then I might fly by myself to Virginia to visit family... I think some of them are coming from Virginia this evening actually... hmmm... anyway... I wanna help Chelsea and see if she's gonna cut her Demo this summer... I should help with that... then I I'm off to warped tour I guess this July... in between that, like I said, would be music music music... I think I'm gonna take presemester voice lessons from Mrs. Myers this July as well...

BLAH!... thanks for reading this post... actually... this may be the longest post I've even typed... Aside from surveys and stuff like that...
HAPPY 100th entry to me!!!
... you know what would make a great 100th post present? - if someone would join my journal and have joint posting... ::looks around::... darn... it never works...
I also put Arwen's journal on the list - It has proved worth reading to me... she's a rare person
::Daily Lyrics:: - How you fell depends on what you think about/ What you need depends on what you can't live without/ How you act goes right back to the way you feel/ What you see isn't always what is real/ So where do we go? and what do we do?/ You're asking me and I'm asking you/ To be real with yourself and don't play the game/ Of daily life, it's all the same ~ "Iquiring Minds Want To Know" - MxPx
