It's My Fault That It Fell Apart...
Jim - I guess sometimes life could be more exciting... but nothing is really happening... just chapstick, chap lips, and things like chemistry... I've been writing more music than ever and experimenting to take my music to levels I never dreamed of until now... when I say my music, I don't just mean my band - I mean my band, piano, guitar, and vocals. Band wise, My band does happen to follow the melodic pop punk style of music. I'm breaking the rules of this genre and putting songs in 3/4, 6/8, 7/8 and some other time signatures that just don't appear in punk, hardcore, screamo, etc. No... I'm not exactly taking the band music down the Metal path, but I an setting new standards for my genre. Piano wise - I'm working on my music theory and taking my composing to the level of being able to perfectly transpose anything I play (whether something I learned or something I made up, or making up at the moment) into any key. I'm also working on being able to take any random 5 notes (like D, F, G#, C, B) in the order that they appear and write music using them... I know that it's very well possible with any combination. Vocally, I'm working on getting voice lessons. I've already improved a lot since I joined chorale. I plan on majoring in music in college and vocal production is going to the direction I'm going to take. ANYWAY... I got my Greb on with Noah in Biology. That was a fun lab. Anyway... I've had the song "Until The Day I Die" stuck in my head for a few days now because Noah sings it in Biology, so I sing it as well.... I have to teach him how to scream better though... He'll get it with practice. Blah!... you know that I die too, I die too...... grrr....... get it out of my head!!!
The Band - I'm pressing on... Frontmen are nice though (HINT, HINT!!!)
::Daily Lyrics:: - You were everything I wanted/ But I just can't finish what I've started/ There's no room left here on my back/ It was damaged long ago/ Though you swear that you are true/ I still pick my friends over you ~ "My Friends Over You" - New Found Glory
